The famous Englishman is on loan from the "Man Utd" club, but this summer the Birmingham team has the opportunity to acquire the player for £40 million.
According to "Football Insider," in order to raise enough money and not violate existing rules, "Aston Villa" intends to take an unexpected step.
The Birmingham team may sell its women's team.
"Aston Villa" could act exactly as "Chelsea" did a year ago. This would exploit a loophole in the rules to reduce the financial burden," explained expert Dan Plumley.
In the previous "Premier" league season, the Englishman scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 10 matches.
