UEFA has made a decision regarding the referee for the Champions League final.
It has been reported that Romanian Istvan Kovacs will officiate the decisive matches of the tournament.
As reported by the English press, this means that the "Barcelona" club has achieved at least a symbolic victory in the battle against Szymon Marciniak.
After losing the semifinal match in Milan (3:4), the Catalans "heated up" the phones of UEFA officials, demanding punishment for what they believe was very poor officiating by the Polish referee.
It is said that while no harsher penalties for S. Marciniak have been announced, the decision not to invite the referee, who was considered the favorite to officiate the final, to Munich will be an act to appease the anger of "Barca" representatives.
The Pole will also not officiate decisive matches in other European tournaments.
