The leader of the Portuguese national team, Cristiano Ronaldo, has taken a serious interest in the worrisome events that have begun in the Middle East.
The 40-year-old Portuguese was appalled by the outbreak of war between Israel and Iran and decided to use his popularity to help end this conflict.
During the G7 summit held in Canada recently, European Commission representative Antonio Costa presented U.S. President Donald Trump with a t-shirt featuring the words "I play for peace.”
C. Ronaldo believes that D. Trump has all the leverage in his hands to stop the ongoing war.
To President @realdonaldtrump.
