Italian referee banned from football for two years for insulting a player © stopkadras

Italian football officials made an important decision in the scandal that erupted at the end of last year.

During the "Serie D" championship match between "Club Milano" and "Pro Sesto," the latter team's defender Alessandro Sala asked the coach to replace him.

The player complained that the match referee Gabriele Caggiari was treating him with great disrespect and even wished for him to get cancer. It was precisely such a disease that had afflicted the player's mother.

"La Gazzetta dello Sport" reports that the unpleasant referee has now been banned from football for two years.

This is not G. Caggiari's first outburst. In a match between "Atletico Uri" and "Latte Dolce," the referee had insulted participants who were astonished at his decisions.
