Goalkeepers will no longer have the opportunity to waste time returning the ball to play.

At the FIFA Club World Cup, fans witnessed a new rule when "Sundowns" player Ronwen Williams was penalized.

The match referee, Clement Turpin, determined that the goalkeeper held the ball for too long, and he did not have enough of the designated 8-second limit to take action.

After noting the violation, the referee awarded a corner kick to the "Ulsan" team, which, however, they failed to capitalize on and score a goal.

Despite the unusual situation, "Sundowns" maintained their lead and triumphed in the match with a score of 1-0.
