J. Mascherano: 'We showed that we can compete with any team in the world'

The Miami "Inter" club unexpectedly defeated the "Porto" team 2:1 on Thursday in the FIFA Club World Cup matches.

This was the first time in history that an MLS club won in official matches against European representatives.

After the match, "Inter" coach Javier Mascherano stated that his team proved they are ready to fight against any opponent.

"First of all, I want to congratulate my players on a great match. I’m talking not only about the final result but also about the performance we displayed on the field.

Today we showed that we can compete with any team in the world," said J. Mascherano.
